A presentation folder is what turns a stack of loose paper into a proposal. In a tender, a client meeting or a trade fair, it is often the first thing the other side touches — and a flimsy folder undermines everything inside it. Presentation folder printing is a small spend that shapes a large impression.
Construction Options
- Single pocket: the standard, economical format for most proposals
- Double pocket: separates commercial and technical documents
- Business card slot: a die-cut holder in the pocket, so your card stays with the documents
- Gusseted pocket: expands to hold thicker documents or samples
- Integrated spine: for folders that need to hold a substantial document set
- Reinforced base: stops the pocket tearing under weight
Board and Finish
Board weight is the decision that matters most. Too light and the folder buckles when filled, which reads as cheap immediately. We generally recommend 300-350gsm with lamination, which holds its shape with a full document set inside. Matt lamination reads as considered and takes spot UV beautifully; gloss is brighter and more resistant to marking; soft-touch is the premium option. Foiling and embossing on the logo lift a folder used for high-value proposals.
Our Process
1. Specification
Document format, how thick a set the folder needs to hold, and whether a card slot or gusset is required.
2. Dieline and design
Artwork laid out on the flat dieline, so the design works across the cover, the pocket face and the inside once folded and glued.
3. Sample
A physical sample for larger runs, to check the fit and how it behaves when full.
4. Production
Printing, lamination, die-cutting, creasing and gluing, then flat or assembled packing as you prefer.

Frequently Asked Questions
What board weight should we use?
Usually 300-350gsm with lamination. Lighter board is a false economy — it buckles under a full document set.
Can you add a business card slot?
Yes, it is a simple die-cut in the pocket and adds very little to the cost.
Do you deliver flat or assembled?
Either. Flat saves storage space; assembled is ready to use immediately.
Can you match our other stationery?
Yes — we produce letterhead, business cards and brochures, and matching stock and finish across the set is the point.
