A catalogue is a physical sales tool, and how it is printed changes how it is received. Paper weight, binding and finish all shape whether a buyer treats it as a reference they keep or a leaflet they discard. Catalogue printing is where those decisions get made.
Choosing the Right Press
Digital printing is the economical choice for short runs — typically under about a thousand copies — and allows fast turnaround and versioned content. Offset becomes cheaper per unit above that, and delivers better consistency across long runs and richer solid colours. We advise based on your actual quantity rather than defaulting to one method.
Binding Options
- Saddle stitch: economical and lies reasonably flat, best up to around 48 pages
- Perfect binding: a square spine you can print on, suitable from roughly 40 pages upward
- Wire-o and spiral: opens completely flat, ideal for technical catalogues used on a workbench
- Swiss and section-sewn binding: premium constructions for showcase pieces
Paper and Finish
Coated gloss stock gives punchy photographic reproduction and suits product-heavy catalogues. Matt coated reads as more considered and is easier on the eye for text. Uncoated stock feels natural and premium but flattens photography slightly. Cover options include matt and gloss lamination, soft-touch coating, spot UV and foiling.
Our Process
1. Specification
We agree page count, format, stock, binding and quantity — page count matters because binding works in multiples of four or eight, and planning to that saves money.
2. Preflight
We check your files for resolution, colour space, bleed, spine allowance and font embedding before anything reaches the press. Most print problems are caught here.
3. Proof
A digital or wet proof on the specified stock, so you approve what you will actually receive rather than what a screen suggests.
4. Production and finishing
Printing, lamination, folding, binding and trimming, then packing for delivery or direct dispatch to your trade fair or distributor.
Why Reklart
We design catalogues as well as print them, so if your files need work we can fix them rather than send them back. Our own facility means we control the schedule — important when a catalogue has to be in your hands before a trade fair. We have produced catalogues for food, cosmetics, textile and industrial manufacturers across Türkiye and for export.
Frequently Asked Questions
What quantity is economical?
Under about a thousand copies, digital. Above that, offset is usually cheaper per unit and the difference grows with volume.
Can you print a small test run first?
Yes. Many clients print a short digital run for a trade fair, then move to offset once the content is settled.
Do you supply print-ready files if we print elsewhere?
Yes, with correct bleed, colour profile and imposition for your chosen binding.
How long does production take?
Typically 5-10 working days after proof approval, depending on quantity and finishing.
