A transparent label lets the product itself do the talking. Applied to clear glass or PET, it creates the effect known in the trade as the no-label look — text and logo appearing to float directly on the container. Clear label printing is how premium beverage, cosmetics and specialty food brands achieve that.
The No-Label Look
The effect depends on three things: a genuinely clear film, a clear adhesive that does not haze, and careful application without trapped air. Get any of them wrong and the illusion breaks — a slightly milky edge or a visible bubble immediately reads as cheap. We specify and produce for all three.
White Ink Underprinting
Colours printed directly onto clear film become translucent, and whatever is behind them shows through. Where you need a colour to read solidly — a coloured logo on a dark drink, for instance — we underprint white beneath that element only, keeping the rest transparent. This is the single most common technical requirement in clear label work and it needs to be built into the artwork deliberately.
Materials
- Clear PP: the standard choice, flexible and moisture-resistant
- Clear PET: stiffer with better clarity, suited to flat surfaces
- Clear PVC: conforms well to squeezable and curved containers
- Frosted film: a translucent etched-glass effect
Best Applications
Glass bottles for beverages, oils and sauces; PET containers for cosmetics and personal care; jars where the product colour is part of the appeal; and any premium line where the pack should look considered rather than labelled.
Our Process
1. Container and product review
Surface curvature, contents and storage conditions determine film and adhesive — a bottle destined for an ice bucket needs different specification from one on a dry shelf.
2. Artwork preparation
We build the white underprint layer where it is needed and mark clearly which elements stay transparent.
3. Proof on the container
A clear label proofed flat tells you very little. We apply the proof to your actual container so you judge it properly.
4. Production
Printing, die-cutting and winding to your applicator specification.
Why Reklart
Clear labels are less forgiving than paper — small artwork mistakes become visible faults. Because we design and print in-house, we prepare the white layer ourselves rather than relying on a supplied file being correct. We work with beverage, cosmetics and specialty food brands across Türkiye and for export.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the label be fully invisible?
The film is clear but a fine edge is always detectable on close inspection. Applied well, at normal viewing distance the effect is convincing.
Is it suitable for chilled products?
Yes. Synthetic film handles condensation far better than paper, which is one of the main reasons brands choose it.
Does it cost more than paper?
Yes — film and clear adhesive cost more, and white underprint adds a pass. The uplift is usually modest relative to the perceived quality gain.
Can you apply the labels for us?
We supply on rolls to your applicator specification; for smaller runs we can advise on manual application technique.
